Committee for Open Democracy gets accredited in Ukraine.

From the press release: “This is our fourth election accreditation in two years,” Mefford stated. “We observed Moldova’s 2010 parliamentaries, and this is our third accreditation in Ukraine. We’ve reported both positives and negatives from these elections, and will do the same in October in Ukraine, as well as in Georgia’s parliamentaries. We’ve actually had a long-term observation and monitoring mission in Georgia since April, but due to their rules, we had to wait until after the election date was announced before we could apply for formal accreditation. However, given the Ukrainian Central Election Commission accredited us quickly, proving their commitment to democratic values, we have every reason to believe the Georgian Central Election Commission will be similarly professional and democratic.”
