The Committee for Open Democracy announced it’s plans today to observe the July 13 Parliamentary Elections in Slovenia. COD has applied and received accreditation from the State Election Commission and will field up to five international observers to monitor the voting process. This marks the second time that COD has been officially accredited to observe elections in Slovenia with the first being the December 2012 Presidential Runoff Election. Slovenia’s President Borut Pahor announced the snap elections on June 1.
